I’m considering buying Selkie Rescue to try to recover files from my crashed computer with non-working Windows Vista OS. When attempting recovery with Linux tools, I saw that the partition with files is not visible. I wonder whether your software can recover files when that is the case.

I downloaded the Selkie Rescue file successfully and created the cd (cd#2) for the non-working computer. The program was successfully loaded onto the working computer, and then I recovered all my files.

This week, I am getting a NEW computer and want to use the Selkie Rescue to transfer files from my main (OLD) computer, using a crossover cable, to the NEW computer. I do not have cd#1 since the program was already downloaded and is on the computer that I bought the program on and that has all my files. How can I get the Rescue program on the NEW computer so I can transfer files to that one?

Can I download the Selkie Rescue program a second time (using my ID) to the NEW computer?

When I put the cd in the broken computer the welcome screen doesn’t come up. It just does what it normally does. We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. It gives you options on how you want to run windows. It starts windows normally after 25 seconds. I put the cd in and nothing happens it just keeps trying to start windows. What do I need to do?
