I have problem running Selkie Rescue on my dad’s machine. It detects the network card but could not assign the virtual address to the machine. I could not going forward with that problem. Other than that looks fine to me. What could be the issue?

Hello Justin,

Does your father’s network assign IPs dynamically (automatically) or are they static? To find out, on the working PC go to control panel -> network connections and right click and go to properties on the local area connection or wireless connection. In properties, select “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and select properties.

If it is set to automatic, it is a DHCP/dynamic network; however, if use the following IPs is assigned with IP addresses then you will need to run Selkie Rescue on advanced mode and assign an IP address that is not in use.
