Will Selkie run from one drive to another in the same computer?

I have a desktop with one new, good hard drive and one bad, old drive. If I connect the old drive (plug it using a cable) it just rattles for a long time, then says something like “no good”.  I have a laptop with only 20g of space. Is there a way to run Selkie Rescue only on the desktop from the good drive to the bad drive? If two computers must be used, is it a batching process to take a segment of files at a time? Thank you.

If you have an external hard drive, you can connect this to your working
computer and have the Selkie Rescue Center copy your files to it, rather than
storing anything on your laptop.

I’m afraid you can’t run Selkie Rescue so that it backs up from the bad hard drive to
the good in a single machine. However, you can use Selkie’s rescue center on
your working computer to select groups of files or folders rather than all
your data at once. This will let you copy your files in groups and move it to
other media to make room for the rest.
